As with foreign chocolate producers, there are more and more companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia who are betting on an eye-catching packaging design. Increasing quality requirements do not only concern the product itself, but also packaging materials and designs. Nowadays it is very popular to use natural materials - unbleached paper, cardboard, various tubes and jars. Given the current plastic contamination, the use of plastic packaging is being abandoned, consumers prefer eco-packaging and it looks like this trend will continue. I think that our local manufacturers don't lack the courage and go with the design. When buying (not only) chocolate, we could give more chances to smaller local companies whose products did not travel across the world. This will help not only to the nature but also to the people who have put a lot of honest work into their business.
